COVID-19 UPDATE

Fully Open For Business – updated 29th May 2020

SERVICE UPDATE

As always, and particularly during these difficult times, the health and safety of our colleagues, customers and the local community have been our number one priority. On the 24th March, Cloburn Quarry took the advice of the UK and Scottish governments and made the rightful decision to close all our businesses.

Since that date we have been open on selected days to supply material to customers classified an essential service as outlined by government recommendations. To achieve this we have had a complete overhaul of processes and procedures within the company to ensure this could be done safely and without risk to either the staff or our customers.

We have now taken the decision to reopen the business to all our customers, using a ‘contactless delivery’ method as well the measures outlined above.

Contactless Deliveries

We will now move to a contactless delivery service to avoid any chance of cross contamination at the point of loading and delivery. Going forward we will no longer be asking for a signature on the driver’s ticket. Instead the driver will request the name of the receiving operative and communicate that back to our office. We will then add this to our copy of the ticket, and this can be sent to you on request. The driver can pass a copy of his ticket to the site operative if required but only when this can be done safely while adhering to social distancing and hygiene directives otherwise this copy will be kept by the driver.

Although some may feel our measures are extreme, I must emphasise our commitment to the health and safety of both our colleagues and customers. I trust we can all work together to ensure we can meet our customer’s needs without compromising on safety.

I would just like to thank all our customers who have shown so much understanding and support over the last 9 weeks. The Cloburn family are passionate about the wellbeing of both our customers and colleagues and understand the hardship we all face during this lockdown. With these measures in place we are confident we can get back to servicing all our customers in the safest possible manner.
