Your red granite chips will be delivered to your door by a distribution company. They will be in a bulk bag (approx. 850kgs) and on a pallet. The pallet will be offloaded by a tail-lift and be placed on a hard level surface as close as possible to where you want it.
Standard delivery is 3-5 working days, with weekend and timed delivery options also available.
Bag deliveries are made by kerbside tail lift lorry. Crane or hiab available by request.
All deliveries are made on a tail lift lorry and lowered to the ground. A manual pallet truck is then used to manoeuvre the pallet into position.
Our Couriers deliver between the hours of 8am and 6pm, you can request a telephone call 1 hour before in the special instructions box on the checkout page.
The ground and road need to be flat, level and solid tarmac or concrete to use this system. If you have any doubts please contact us for further details. Broken concrete, gravel or sloping ground is unsuitable and pallets may be left on the roadside only if it’s safe to do so.
The road must be wide enough for a lorry to fit down, usually wider and larger than a dustbin lorry. If your access is restricted, please could contact our office.
Please make sure that there are no overhead obstructions, such as overhanging trees or cables. Also please inform us of any height restrictions on the delivery route as this could prevent delivery.
We cannot deliver onto sloping ground, as the tail lift must be able to lay flat on the ground.

For when a little is not enough…
If you are wanting a large amount of aggregate or slate, it may be more cost effective to have a loose tipped load delivered. We are happy to provide you with a quote on any of our products as this method of delivery can sometimes work out cheaper.
We have several different sized vehicles at our disposal in case access is an issue. Loose loads are made by large heavy vehicles (sometimes articulated) and need a lot of space and a suitable flat, level and solid ground to tip. A full vehicle can weigh up to 44 tonnes and you must ensure the vehicle can access your site. If a vehicle cannot gain access and make a delivery you will be required to pay the cost of transport. This would include the delivery and return charges so please make sure you are 100% certain access is possible.
There are several options available:
Articulated Tippers – These can carry 29 tonnes and weigh
a total of 44 tonnes. Any deliveries made with this vehicle require good level hard ground and good access as they are approx 14.2 metres long.
Rigid Tippers – up to 20 tonnes – – these are typically 9.8 metres in length and weigh 32 tonne in total.
If taking delivery of a loose tipped load, we do need to ensure someone is at home on the day of the delivery.
So if you need about 20 bulk bags, it may be more cost effective to get a loose tipped load.
